Use this calculator to determine the new stock price and the number of shares you will own after a stock split. You can also use this tool to understand the effects of a reverse stock split in any stock market around the world.
A stock split increases the number of shares in a company by issuing more shares to current shareholders. For example, in a 2:1 stock split, for every 1 share owned, shareholders will receive 2 additional shares. Conversely, a reverse stock split reduces the number of outstanding shares.
Inputs:
Current Stock Price (in your local currency): The current price per share of the stock.
Stock Split Ratio (New Shares : Old Shares): The ratio indicating how many new shares will be given for each old share. For a reverse split, you would enter the ratio in the opposite order (Old Shares : New Shares). To calculate a reverse stock split, enter the higher number first.
Number of Shares Owned: The number of shares you currently own.
Outputs:
New Stock Price: The adjusted price per share after the stock split or reverse stock split.
Total Shares After Split: The total number of shares you will own after the stock split, including any fractional shares.
Whole Shares After Split: The number of whole shares you will own after the stock split.
Refund Amount: The monetary value of any fractional shares after the stock split.
